We are happy to see our newest building be completed and go online. The County of La Crosse hired Barrientos Design to design their new Highway Garage facility located in the center of the county. This facility will allow the county to better position their fleet of heavy trucks so they can cut the amount of time it takes to respond to snow and traffic emergencies in half.
The main portion of the building is a tall and wide truck storage facility that is fully equipped with compressed air and water reels so vehicle operators can prep their vehicles at the end of their runs.
The new building also has a wonderful truck washing facility for large and heavy road vehicles, allowing the La Crosse fleet to be washed quickly and thoroughly.
Our team was faced with a steep site and there will be no utilities for building services. However, with creative draining and onsite site wells, we were able to mitigate this issue.
