The existing MCDOT garage on the north side of Milwaukee was old and undersized. The County also wanted to combine the Parks Forestry Division into the DOT building. Barrientos Design provided both scenarios’ space planning, schematic-level drawings, and cost estimates.

Today’s modern 50,578 SF facility replaces a century-old building. It introduces upgraded mechanical systems, an expanded garage and storage space, and one of the region’s largest salt brine production operations, helping to improve winter road maintenance efficiency.
