As part of Northwestern Mutual Insurance’s campus connection project, a 32-story office building was added in Downtown Milwaukee. Barrientos Design was hired and was responsible for design development and construction documents for two pedestrian bridges connecting to adjacent NM buildings.

The bridges feature a slender floor structure with major structural support and mechanical systems at the top of the bridges. The floor structure is suspended by stainless steel rods at even increments, providing a glass facade with complete transparency.
