Barrientos Design & Consulting, Inc., was retained by Gogebic County to develop a preliminary design for a new highway garage. The 45,000 SF building design includes a heated parking garage, parts storage, truck wash, repair garage, a county board room, and an administrative office. Natural lighting throughout the building helps to reduce operating costs and increase worker safety.

A salt shed with a lean-to roof offers additional storage for yard functions typically exposed to the elements. Landscaping berms help to create a buffer between the new building and neighboring properties.
